Training Options

We desire to help prepare you to minister even more effectively to children in a Good News Club, in your church, and in your community! We offer high quality training that is proven effective. However God has called you to serve Him in ministering to children, we are eager to assist you and to equip you more fully.

Child Evangelism Fellowship® is a willing and specialized partner in reaching the children in YOUR communities. CEF of North Alabama offers many opportunities through out the year to plug into ministry and receive training that leads to confident and effective ministry in a variety of settings. Whether you are seeking to volunteer in Good News Club® or Summer Missions, you want to optimize your church’s impact or strengthen your skills in a Sunday School and other teaching environment, CEF® can help!

We provide training for: Good News Club volunteers, church children’s volunteers, youth groups, those wanting to minister to children in their communities, parents, grandparents, and more!

Holiday Party Club Outreach Events & Training

Did you know that Easter Party Clubs are an egg-stra great way to share the Gospel with kids?

You can host amEaster Party for children this season and share with them about the egg-stravagant love of the Savior who died and came alive for them! You could host this one-time club in your church, home, backyard, neighborhood park, and more!

CEF Press® Easter Party Kits provide colorful visuals and text, and most have a resource PowerPoint CD! They include reproducible invitations and memory verse tokens; craft, game, song, and snack ideas and a clear presentation of the Gospel message. Good News Club Training

Child Evangelism Fellowship of North Alabama, local churches, and believers are working together to take the good news of Jesus to children through Good News Club® in public schools and in the community!

*The GNC training is for new and returning GNC volunteers. The training is required for those teaching the Bible lesson or memory verse or counseling a child for salvation. (If you a attended a GNC training in the last few years, you are up-to-date on your training. You are welcome to attend again but not required.)

*The GNC Training is also excellent for children’s ministry volunteers and leaders, pastors, teachers, and parents.

A training is scheduled for Saturday, January 27 from 9am-12 on Zoom!

We will cover how to teach a Bible lesson that is power-packed with the Gospel and growth teaching, how to teach a Bible verse that is more than just memorizing, how to counsel a child for salvation, how to encourage children to have their own quiet times, and more!

Super Seminars

Local trainings can be held in person or over Zoom! We offer a large variety of session topics, and our teacher trainer works with you in the scheduling of trainings. Sessions are designed for 30-45 minutes teaching segments. Some have the option to go longer if a demonstration of what is taught is wanted. Teaching Children Effectively, Level 1

A practical in-depth learning experience designed to equip students with basic skills and effective methods to evangelize children and immediately begin a neighborhood or public school outreach ministry. Emphasis is placed on organizing and conducting meaningful classroom activities which can enrich children spiritually. Three required practicum sessions conducted during the course provide each student with evaluated experience in applying the theory taught. This course is often taught over 4 full Saturdays every other week or 3 hours one day a week for 10 weeks, but schedules can vary.

Must be at least 15 years old to take this course.

After the course, students are required to participate in teaching five children’s classes applying the methods learned in the course to receive their certificate of completion.

Teaching Children Effectively, Level 2

TCE Level 2 is designed to provide information and practical methods which will enable the student to effectively guide the saved child in progressive spiritual growth. The course is centered on the principle that true teaching of the Word of God produces change. Students gain skills which will enable them to offer practical help to children as they establish and develop a personal relationship with God. Students are required to participate in teaching five children’s classes applying the methods learned in the course to enhance classroom study. This course is often taught over 4 full Saturdays every other week or 3 hours one day a week for 10 weeks, but schedules can vary.

Prerequisite: Teaching Children Effectively, Level 1

In addition, two required practicum sessions conducted during the course provide each student with evaluated experience in applying the theory taught.
