Our Mission
Child Evangelism Fellowship® is an evangelical, Bible-centered mission whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living. Our mission is to make Forever Followers of Jesus Christ by partnering, equipping, and encouraging born-again believers in bringing the Gospel to children in their communities.
Our Impact
Child Evangelism Fellowship® has more open doors than ever. The times are urgent and the work is vital. CEF® International longs to reach 100 million children each year with the Gospel of Christ. We’re grateful for our heritage but even more excited about what the Lord will do in our future. There is still much work to be done to reach the children in North Alabama.
Our Programs
Good News Club®
Good News Club® is a ministry of CEF® in which a group of trained teachers from local Bible-believing churches meet with children in schools and communities. These students have been given parent’s permission to attend. Each week the teacher presents an exciting Bible lesson using colorful materials from CEF Press®. This action-packed time also includes songs, Scripture memory, a missions story and review games or other activities focused on the lesson's theme. Parents are welcome to attend as well.
Christian Youth In Action®
Christian Youth In Action® (CYIA™) is a program designed to train a team of young people in effective and engaging ways to teach children about God while deepening their own faith and growing into who God wants them to be. Teens age 13-19 attend a one-week training school to learn to present the Gospel clearly on a child’s level, counsel a child for salvation, and lead a dynamic club ministry for kids. Components of this club include teaching a Bible lesson, a real-life missionary story, and a Bible verse, as well as leading songs, games and a fun review time.
5-Day Club®
5-Day Club® is an exciting, fun-filled one hour club held each day for five consecutive days, and takes place in your community. It includes dynamic Bible lessons, creative learning activities, inspiring missionary stories, meaningful songs, and life-changing Scripture memorization.
Volunteer Training
CEF® offers numerous workshops, seminars, and courses to prepare volunteers to teach God’s Word to children. This training is invaluable, not only to our volunteers, but also to Sunday school teachers, children’s church workers, and Christian school teachers as well.
In the works to return this Fall: Madison Street Festival ministry
At the Madison Street Festival in the Fall, CEF® volunteers share the Gospel with children using the Wordless Book. Each teen or adult volunteer receives free training and completes a CEF® background check before the event. This event is an excellent opportunity to share the Gospel with many children and families!
