Evidence of His Goodness
/We continue to be in awe of our God as we are privileged to witness the evidence of His goodness. God has opened new doors of opportunity for ministry in North Alabama and has held open doors He previously opened!
From September 2022-August 2023, we saw God doing wonders reopening, continuing, and beginning clubs! Between the school-year Good News Clubs and Summer 5-Day Clubs:
41 clubs were held
1,168 children heard the Gospel
71 children and 1 adult trusted in Jesus as Savior
6 children started attending church because of GNC
In only September & October of this year, over 600 children have heard the Gospel in Good News Clubs and Party clubs! We are seeing evidence of His work and His blessing, and we are encouraged! He is doing the work and is allowing us, partnering churches, and volunteers to be part of it.
As you gear up for 2024, please pray and determine how you will serve the Lord.
As the Lord helps us through your labors, prayers, and donations, we can lead more children to Christ and help them grow in their faith! These children represent entire families for YOUR church to reach. Please prayerfully consider what you can and will do to reach the next generation for Christ. Today, more than ever, we need YOU to share in the Lord's work with us! To enable us to share the Gospel further and build deeper into the lives of children, to add to our ministry staff, and to partner with more churches and groups in ministry, we have set a big goal.
Please help us raise $58,000 by December 31 to meet the needs of this year OR $81,000 to expand our efforts to reach even more children in 2024! The world, the flesh, and the devil do not want the Gospel to go forth, but God is the Lord of all! He is directing our steps as we trust Him in humble faith and obedience. What better gift could you give a child than the opportunity to have a personal relationship with our Lord & Savior and a firm foundation in truth?
*Become a Faithful GOER (Missionary)
Serve on our local committee. Are you gifted in business, connecting with people, or fund-gathering and ready to help guide our team?
Start a Good News Club (GNC) with your church to reach into the local schools and neighborhoods and take the Gospel message to the children! We will help you with free training and support.
Join an existing Good News Club that needs more volunteers. Additional volunteers enable clubs to run more smoothly and for volunteers to give even more attention to the needs of the children than when there are only a few volunteers. You could be the one to help fill this need!
Our communities need more home missionaries who both go and send others. Every one of our Gospel-trained volunteers is a missionary. We need to flood our communities with teams of volunteers missionaries who are trained to teach Bible lessons with a clear Gospel focus with the mission to see our children come to Christ, grow in Christ, and join a Bible-believing church.
Be the one to tell the children in your community about the One who came to save them!

A life lived for God - Remembering Anita Hill
February 14, 1939 to September 19, 2023
“This is the day that the Lord has made! Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” How many times has Anita sung that song of praise? It is her opening song of Good News Club, so it is a hymn that is dear to her. Now she sings in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Anita Griffith Hill went home to Jesus on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from her Gadsden home.
Anita was a ten-talent person, and she had many areas of passionate ministry locally and abroad. One of the ministries Anita loved the most was Good News Clubs through Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF). Anita began volunteering when she was a 17-year-old high school student. She taught Good News Bible lessons through her 84th birthday in 2023, missing only one year due to schools closing during Covid. Anita delighted in hearing from former students that they remembered her lessons and songs and even taught them to their children. Anita’s faithfulness to Good News Clubs pointed many, many children to Jesus Christ. Family and friends will miss Anita’s sweet spirit, but they have no doubt that she continues to praise the Lord and rejoice in His presence.
"This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24
